This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Sale-Rite Store collects when you visit this website, create an account, buy from our Digital Store or ask us about our services, and how we look after it. We follow the Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zambia.
1. Who we are
Sale-Rite Store (“SALE-RITE”, “we”, “us”) is a technology and creative business owned by Ephraim Nyadowa, based at Six Miles, off Great North Road, Lusaka, Zambia. We offer phone software solutions, computer and IT support, graphic design, digital services, music recording and a Digital Store of eBooks, courses and templates. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your account: your name, email address and password when you create a SALE-RITE account. Passwords are stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read them.
- Sign in with Google, Facebook or LinkedIn: if you choose one of these, that company shares your name, email address and an account ID with us. We never receive your password for those services.
- Your orders: the products you order, prices, currency, order reference, order date and payment status.
- WhatsApp messages: when you order or ask about a service on WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp name, phone number and the messages you send us.
- Service requests: the request form on this website does not save your details. It only prepares a WhatsApp message, which you can review before sending.
Information collected when you use the website
- Your library and learning: the products in your library, the course lessons you complete and your quiz results.
- Downloads: when you download a file you bought, the store records the date, the file and your internet (IP) address to protect our files from misuse.
- Technical details: like most websites, our hosting company keeps basic records such as your IP address, browser type and the pages visited, to keep the site secure and working.
Payments
When online card or mobile money payments are available, they are handled by our payment provider (for example Flutterwave). Your card or mobile money details go directly to that provider; SALE-RITE never sees or stores your full card number.
3. How we use your information
- To create and run your account and keep your purchases in My Library.
- To process orders, confirm payments and unlock your eBooks, courses and templates.
- To reply to your messages and provide the services you ask for.
- To send important messages about your account or orders, such as password reset links.
- To keep the website, our files and our customers safe from fraud and misuse.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as sales records.
We only send marketing messages if you have asked for them, for example by joining our WhatsApp community. You can leave at any time. We never sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run this website and our business, and only as much as they need:
- Our website hosting company, which stores the website and its database.
- Our payment provider, when you pay online.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us or order through WhatsApp.
- Google, Facebook or LinkedIn, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering used on this website and receives your IP address when pages load.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. Some of these companies may store information outside Zambia; where that happens we rely on them to protect it to a standard at least as good as this policy.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We only use cookies that the website needs to work:
- Sign-in cookies keep you signed in to your account.
- Cart cookies remember the items in your cart.
- Currency cookie remembers whether you prefer Kwacha (ZMW) or US Dollars (USD).
- Social sign-in cookie is used for a few minutes while you sign in with Google, Facebook or LinkedIn, to keep that sign-in secure.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete cookies in your browser settings, but you will then need to sign in again and your cart may be emptied.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and library are kept for as long as your account is open, so you can always return to what you bought.
- Order and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for business and tax records, even after an account is closed.
- WhatsApp conversations stay in our WhatsApp business chats until we delete them.
7. Keeping your information safe
We use secure (HTTPS) connections, scrambled passwords and private storage for paid files, and only the owner and trusted staff can see customer orders. No website is completely secure, so please choose a strong password, keep it private and never share passwords or verification codes with anyone, including us.
8. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2021 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account and personal information (we may still need to keep order records the law requires);
- stop using your information for marketing, or object to how we use it.
To make a request, email info@salerite.store or message us on WhatsApp at +260 976 157999. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, and we will reply as soon as we can and within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Zambia.
9. Children
Our Digital Store is meant for adults and young adults. Children under 16 should only create an account or buy products with permission and help from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without permission, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Please also read our Terms of Service.
